Prisoners escape after protesters attack Kailali jail

Dhangadhi: Prisoners escaped from Kailali Jail on Tuesday after protesters attacked the facility during ongoing demonstrations.

According to police, security personnel were unable to stop the protesters, who stormed the prison and freed all inmates before escaping.

The exact number of prisoners who fled has not yet been confirmed. Meanwhile, protesters also set fire to and destroyed several government offices in Dhangadhi.
