Flood in Dodhara Chandni forces displacement of two APF BOPs and several families
Kanchanpur: Two Border Out Posts (BOPs) of the Armed Police Force in Dodhara Chandni Municipality have been relocated following continuous heavy rains. The District Police Office, Kanchanpur, reported that security personnel from the Sundarnagar BOP (Ward No. 10) and Kanchanbhoj BOP (Ward No. 7) were displaced due to rising floodwaters.
The Sundarnagar BOP personnel have been moved to the nearby Omkar Basic School, while the Kanchanbhoj BOP staff have been relocated to the nearby Immunization Center. The 35th Battalion of the Armed Police Force, Jhalari, stated that the Jogbuda River’s flow is increasing, posing a high risk, prompting the relocation for safety. Battalion Chief SP Lokendra Bhatta confirmed, “Security personnel have been shifted to a safe place and are assisting in rescuing those affected by the flood.”
In addition to the APF personnel, several families have been displaced by the flood. According to police reports:

15 families from Paterakhalla, Ward No. 3
Additionally, 5 families from Chowkisota, Bhimdatta Municipality-11 have also been displaced. All affected families have been relocated to nearby schools for safety.
