Pregnant woman dies following jeep accident in Darchula

Darchula: A 25-year-old pregnant woman seriously injured in a jeep accident in Naugad Rural Municipality-4 has succumbed to her injuries.

Police Inspector Chhatra Bahadur Rawat of the District Police Office, Darchula, confirmed that Parbati Tamta of Naugad Rural Municipality-4, who was critically injured in the accident at Hopari, passed away this morning.

The minor injured are receiving treatment at Gokuleshwar Hospital, while the hospital has stated that arrangements are being made to refer three other seriously injured individuals to Dhangadhi for further treatment.

Police have taken the jeep driver, Lokendra Singh Thagunna, who was also injured in the accident, into custody and are conducting necessary investigations.
