Valmiki student Sristi Tamang wins district-level school dance competition
Dhangadhi: Sristi Tamang, a student of Valmiki International School in Dhangadhi, has clinched the title of the district-level school dance competition held in Attariya, Kailali.
The competition, which began on Jestha 31, concluded on Saturday. Tamang secured first place, while her schoolmate Paridhi Dahal claimed second. Ritika Ghatala of Pragyan Pathshala, Attariya, stood third.
More than 1,500 students from various schools across Kailali auditioned for the competition, with 21 participants advancing to the finals.
Tamang, the winner, received a cash prize of Rs 30,151. Dahal, the second-place winner, was awarded Rs 20,151, while Ghatala received Rs 10,151 for securing third place.
The winners were honored during a formal program on Saturday. The event was chaired by renowned Attariya-based artist Binod Malla, with Provincial Assembly member Khema Devi Bista as the chief guest.
