Two absconding convicts in polygamy cases arrested in Kanchanpur and Achham

Kanchanpur: Police have arrested two absconding individuals from Kanchanpur and Achham who had been convicted in separate polygamy cases.

In Kanchanpur, 40-year-old Shankar Dutta Joshi of Bhimdatta Municipality-2, Ultakham, was apprehended by a team from the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, on Tuesday. Joshi had been sentenced by the Kanchanpur District Court on Bhadra 24, 2075, to one year in prison and a fine of Rs 5,000. He was arrested from his residence.

Similarly, in Achham, police arrested 28-year-old Bam Bahadur BK of Dhakari Rural Municipality-3, who had been on the run after the Achham District Court sentenced him on Asad 15, 2081, to one year in prison and a fine of Rs 10,000. He was taken into custody from Mangalsain Municipality-5, Mangalsain Bazaar, by a team from the District Police Office, Achham.
