Information officer at Bajhang district hospital unaccounted for 146 days

Dhangadhi: Ganga Prasad Joshi, an employee of Bajhang District Hospital, has been out of contact and absent from duty for 146 days.

Joshi, a sixth-level officer who also served as the hospital’s Information Officer, Coordinator of the Procurement Committee, and Head of the Medical Records Section, has not reported to work since 18 Magh 2081.

Acting Chief of the District Hospital, Nawaraj Joshi, has formally notified the Ministry of Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province, stating that Ganga Prasad Joshi has been absent of his own volition. Joshi was transferred to the District Hospital Bajhang from Seti Provincial Hospital on 20 Kartik 2081.

Since his absence began, he has not provided any written or verbal communication to the hospital. Attempts to contact him have failed, and all four of his known phone numbers are switched off. The hospital has submitted his attendance record to the Ministry and informed the Health Directorate Doti, Seti Provincial Hospital, and the District Administration Office, Bajhang.

The situation has raised concerns within the hospital administration regarding service delivery and administrative functioning.
