Chemical fertilizers distributed by quota system in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: The Agricultural Materials Company Limited Branch Office in Mahendranagar has initiated the sale and distribution of chemical fertilizers to local levels based on a quota system.
According to Sundar KC, Acting Chief of the Mahendranagar branch, the quota allocation was made following a decision by the Provincial Fertilizer Distribution Management Committee. As per the plan, municipalities will receive between 69 to 90 metric tons of DAP fertilizer, while rural municipalities have been allocated 55.9 metric tons.

The branch is set to receive a total of 698.4 metric tons of DAP from the Bhairahawa office, out of which 250 metric tons have already been delivered and distribution is underway.

Currently, the company holds stock of 189.15 metric tons of DAP, 974.45 metric tons of urea, and 76.5 metric tons of potash. In the ongoing fiscal year, 3,880 metric tons of DAP and 5,453 metric tons of urea have been sold and distributed.

Fertilizer prices have been set at Rs 940 per bag for urea, Rs 2,394 per bag for DAP, and Rs 1,794 per bag for potash when sold to cooperatives. While the district has an adequate supply of subsidized urea, there is a current shortage of DAP fertilizer.
