First lecture of Rastriya Sewa Dal junior division commences at Bhairav Secondary School in Achham

Achham: The first lecture of the Shri Rastriya Sewa Dal West Training School Junior Division Siddsand 51 NCC training has commenced at Bhairav Secondary School in Turmakhad Rural Municipality-3, Achham.
The inaugural session was conducted in the presence of Gorakh Box Battalion Achham Ganapati Chief, Senani Sangam Adhikari. On Asad 6, a team led by Gorakh Box Battalion Senani Amrit Khadka provided training to 70 students of the school. Following the training, a total of 30 students—15 boys and 15 girls—from classes 8 to 10 were selected for the program.

Senani Sangam Adhikari informed that the Government of Nepal is set to conduct National Service Corps training in 257 schools across all 77 districts in the fiscal year 2082/083. A total of 7,710 students, including 1,089 seniors and 6,630 juniors, are expected to participate. He emphasized the training's significance in shaping disciplined, dignified, and dedicated citizens.

Outstanding cadets from the National Service Corps have previously been selected to represent Nepal in various international programs held in countries such as India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. Plans are underway to expand both the number of participating countries and cadets this year.

The 100-day training program includes military art drills, physical training, disaster management and rescue techniques, traffic awareness, and various other activities. Speaking at the program, Turmakhad Rural Municipality Chairman Dambar Bahadur BC highlighted the need for morally upright, energetic, creative, and patriotic youth in today’s global context.

The National Service Corps was established on Kartik 7, 2022 BS, with the aim of organizing youth and encouraging their voluntary participation in national development efforts.
