Three absconding convicts arrested from Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Police have arrested three absconding defendants from Kailali and Kanchanpur in separate operations.

Among those arrested is 31-year-old Vivek Baral of Campus Chowk, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-1, Kailali, who was convicted in a drug (brown heroin) case. The Kanchanpur District Court had sentenced him to one year in prison on Mangsir 4, 2078. Baral was taken into custody from his residence by a team from the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.

In a separate case, 37-year-old Mangru Dagoura of Bedkot Municipality-7 was arrested for theft. The Kanchanpur District Court had sentenced him to one month and 15 days in prison and imposed a fine of Rs 9,955 in Bhadra 2072. He was also apprehended from his home.

Similarly, 31-year-old Dinesh Dhami of Ghodaghodi Municipality-5, Kailali, was arrested in connection with arson and cow slaughter cases. The Kanchanpur District Court had sentenced him to 16 years in prison on Chaitra 21, 2072. A team from the Nepal Police Provincial Office, Mahendranagar, arrested Dhami at his residence on Asad 20.

According to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, such operations will continue to intensify to ensure all absconding convicts are brought to justice.
