Former ward member found dead after being swept away by river in Bajura

Bajura: Dhan Bahadur Bohara, a former ward member of Gaumul Rural Municipality-3 in Bajura, has been found dead after being swept away by a river flood.
He was carried away by the floodwaters while crossing the Gerenikhola on Sunday afternoon as he was bringing stones for a ghat. The incident occurred near a location known as 81 Degrees Celsius.

According to the District Police Office, Bajura, his body was discovered on Monday morning at a place called Agar in Gaumul Rural Municipality after the river’s water level receded.

Despite search efforts by locals and police on Sunday, Bohara could not be located. District Police Office Information Officer Janak Bahadur Bohara stated, “We have now reached the scene of the incident. After some time, preparations are underway to bring him to the District Hospital, Martadi, for a postmortem.”
