Basar youth club President Deuba marks birthday with dustbin distribution drive

Dhangadhi: Ganesh Deuba, President of the Basar Youth Club in Kailali, marked his birthday by distributing dustbins in a bid to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness.
Deuba, who leads the club based in Chure Rural Municipality-3, personally visited various public places across the region to distribute the dustbins. He said the initiative was part of his commitment to social responsibility, aiming to support cleanliness efforts in public gathering areas.

Launching a campaign under the slogan ‘Clean and Beautiful Chure is Our Campaign’, Deuba expressed hope that such efforts would significantly contribute to environmental protection and inspire others in society to engage in meaningful social work. He emphasized that dedicating one’s birthday to community service, rather than spending on celebrations, could positively impact Chure's development.

In previous years, Deuba has celebrated his birthday by distributing educational materials to schools and supporting old age homes. On this occasion, he gathered locals at distribution points and personally handed over the dustbins.
The Basar Youth Club, under Deuba’s leadership, has been actively involved in various charitable and community-focused initiatives. These include health camps, organizing sports events from ward-level to state-level volleyball tournaments, the first-ever corporate penalty shootout in Chure, distributing educational supplies to underprivileged and talented students, large-scale tree plantation programs, tourism festivals, and the distribution of sanitary pads to women in mothers’ groups.
The club has also been recognized for honoring health posts providing exceptional service in remote areas and for raising awareness against social evils, untouchability, and superstitions.
