Two arrested with over 1.7 kg of opium in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Two individuals from Jumla and Jajarkot have been arrested in possession of drugs in Kailali.

Acting on a special tip-off, police conducted a search at Paradise Hotel, room number 105, in Chisapani, Lamkichuha Municipality-3. Meghraj Khatri, 38, of Pyakurelwada, Guthichow Rural Municipality-4, Jumla, and Bhakta Bahadur Shahi, 32, of Mulsam, Barekot Rural Municipality-3, Jajarkot, were arrested during the operation.

A joint police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office Mahendranagar and the Area Police Office Chisapani recovered 1 kg 706 grams of opium from their possession.
