Fugitive accused arrested in Kailali for illegal timber transport

Dhangadhi: A fugitive accused from Kailali has been arrested by the police.

Suraj Mahato, 25, of Balchaur, Lamkichuha Municipality-3, who had been fined Rs 40,458 by the District Court Kailali in a case related to damaging and transporting forest produce (timber) without a permit, was taken into custody on Sunday.

According to the police, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Chisapani, arrested Mahato from his residence.
