Two-day poetry festival concludes at Doon Academy in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: The two-day poetry festival organized by Doon Academy School in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3, Kailali, has concluded successfully.
The festival began with a poetry writing workshop held on Jestha 15, conducted by trainer Rupak Alankar. On Jestha 16, the main event took place under the chairmanship of B.V.S. President Devendra Adhikari, with senior writer and critic Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Gyawali serving as the chief guest.

Special guests included SPA Campus Chief Yograj Gautam and Ward President of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3, Raj Bahadur Air. Other notable guests were PABSON Central Member Topendra Shah, writer Shrestha Priya Paththar, Progressive Writers' Association Sudurpaschim Province President Kopila Sharma, ghazal writer Siddha Samarpan, writer Yagyaraj Yatri, and various other intellectual personalities.

A highlight of the event was the launch of the poetry collection Baka Sapana, authored by an 88-year-old senior citizen. The program also showcased cultural performances, including traditional Deuda and Tharu dances.

Principal A. Ram Prasad Upadhyay expressed that such events foster a love for literature among students, aid in personality development, prevent future generations from falling into addiction, cultivate patriotism, and encourage good character. A total of 21 schools participated in the event, and all participating students were honored with certificates of appreciation and awards.
