Youth attacked with khukuri while drinking coffee at a Tikapur café

Dhangadhi: A youth was seriously injured in a khukuri attack in Tikapur, Kailali on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, 31-year-old Tekendra Singh Bista of Tikapur Municipality-1 was attacked while drinking coffee at a café near his residence. District Police Office spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajkumar Singh, reported that Bista sustained injuries to his head and chest during the assault.

Following initial treatment in Tikapur, Bista was referred to Kohalpur Medical College for further medical care.

Authorities stated that two unidentified individuals carried out the attack. A search operation is underway to locate the perpetrators. Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Bal Narsingh Rana has taken charge of the investigation and is personally overseeing the case.
