Man arrested in Dhangadhi with over three kilograms of smuggled silver jewelry

Dhangadhi: A man has been arrested in Kailali with nearly three and a half kilograms of illegal silver jewelry.
Harilal Rana was apprehended at Simalghat in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-10 with 3 kilograms and 370 grams of silver jewelry. The arrest was made on Monday by a team from the temporary police post in Jugeda.

Rana, 32, who claims to be a resident of Suda Bazaar, India, was traveling from India to Nepal at the time of his arrest. He has been handed over to the Customs Office, Kailali, along with the confiscated silver.

According to Kailali Police Spokesperson Rajkumar Singh, the smuggled silver jewelry, valued at Rs 634,183, has been officially submitted to the Customs Office, which will proceed with legal action.
