Critically injured jeep accident victims airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment

Bajura: Two individuals critically injured in a jeep accident in Bajura have been airlifted to Nepalgunj for further medical treatment.
Nanda Bahadur Tiruwa and Lokendra Tiruwa of Budhinanda Municipality-2 sustained serious head and body injuries in the accident that occurred in Kadakot, Jagannath Rural Municipality-2. They have been transported to Nepalgunj Medical College via helicopter after initial treatment at Kolti Hospital proved insufficient.

The accident claimed the lives of Lok Bahadur Bista, Chief of the Nepal Telecom Telecommunications Authority Bajura; jeep driver Karna Mahat; and Ravi Dhami of Badimalika Municipality-7, Dhamkne. The ill-fated vehicle, a jeep bearing registration number Ba 5 Cha 2209, was carrying Nepal Telecom employees who were en route to repair a telecom tower in Jagannath Rural Municipality when it veered off the road and fell approximately 80 meters.

According to police, adverse road conditions and geographical risks are suspected to have caused the accident. The bodies of the deceased are being brought to Kolti Hospital after the completion of legal procedures.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, said Bajura police.
