Police constable honored for assisting roadside childbirth in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Police Constable Chandrika Deuba has been awarded for her exemplary service in assisting a pregnant woman in labor on the roadside in Godavari Municipality-1, Kailali.

The District Police Office, Kailali, presented Deuba with a letter of appreciation on Wednesday in recognition of her humanitarian act. Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Bal Narsingh Rana handed over the award, commending her outstanding contribution.

Constable Deuba, stationed at the Khairana Police Post, came to the aid of Chandra Acharya from Thalara Rural Municipality, Bajhang, who was found in labor on the road in Basantapur, Godavari-1. Deuba helped deliver the baby safely and ensured that the mother and child were transported to Padma Hospital for further care.

Speaking at the award ceremony, SP Rana emphasized that police personnel who perform with dedication and compassion will be recognized and honored, while those who act improperly will be held accountable.
