Achham youth arrested for allegedly raping relative

Achham: A 22-year-old youth from Chaurpati Rural Municipality in Achham district has been arrested on charges of raping a 20-year-old married woman, who is his relative.

According to Achham Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ishwori Prasad Bhandari, the arrest was made following a complaint lodged by the woman. She alleged that the accused entered her home around 11:30 AM on April 28 and raped her. She also claimed that the youth has been sexually assaulting her repeatedly over the past year.

The incident came to light after the woman's husband, who had been working in India, recently returned home. The accused is currently in custody at the District Police Office, Achham, and an investigation is underway, police said.
