Former Prime Minister Dahal felicitated in Patan ahead of public awareness campaign launch

Baitadi: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', was formally welcomed and felicitated by Patan Municipality of Baitadi on the occasion of launching a major political campaign.

Patan Municipality Mayor Gauri Singh Rawal stated that Dahal and accompanying leaders were honored upon their arrival to initiate the ‘Maoist with the People: Mid-Hill Highway (Pushpalal Road) Public Awareness Campaign’.

Chairman Dahal is set to officially launch the campaign through a special program in Patan this afternoon. He will personally lead the initiative, which aims to connect with the people across the Mid-Hill regions.

Accompanying Dahal are Senior Vice President Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Vice Presidents Agni Prasad Sapkota, Pampha Bhusal, Nand Kishore Pun Pasang, General Secretary Dev Gurung, and Sudurpaschim Province In-charge Giriraj Mani Pokharel.

Following the successful completion of a Terai-focused campaign along the Postal Highway, the Maoist Center has now shifted its focus to the Mid-Hill Highway. The campaign will feature cadre gatherings, public meetings, and discussions on development needs across various districts. It aims to strengthen organizational structures, expand public outreach, and outline the party’s future political agenda.

The campaign will conclude in Kaski Pokhara on Jestha 10.
