Sanskrit Gurukul established in Baitadi to promote aanatan tradition and vedic education

Baitadi: A Sanskrit Gurukul has been inaugurated in Baitadi with the objective of preserving Sanatan traditions and expanding access to Sanskrit education.
Named Shivashakti Veda-Vedang Sanskrit Gurukulam, the institution has been established in Shivasthali near the revered Gwalek Dham, located within Dasharathchand Municipality of the district.
According to Lokraj Bhatta, patron of the Gurukul and priest of the Ningalashaini Bhagwati Temple, the initiative aims to preserve ancient traditions and produce capable and learned citizens through Sanskrit-based education. Local social worker Shankar Bohara has donated the land required for the Gurukul’s operation, and the facility has been launched at that site. The chief patron of the Gurukul is Lovedev Pandey, with Lokraj Bhatta and Sushil Pandey serving as its patrons.

The Gurukul was inaugurated during a formal event attended by several dignitaries, including District Coordination Committee Chief Khagendra Singh Dhami and Dasharathchand Municipality Deputy Chief Kaushila Chand. A number of children have already been enrolled in the Gurukul.
