Community homestay workshop held in Bhada village, Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: A two-day workshop focused on promoting and strengthening community homestays is being held in the Far West Province.

The event is taking place on April 21 and 22 at the Bhada Tharu Community Homestay in Tharu Village, located in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-16, Kailali.

According to Suresh Raj Joshi, Chairman of the Tara Village Development Committee under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Minister Badri Prasad Pandey will inaugurate the workshop on April 21. Around 100 participants are attending, including 70 representatives from community and private homestays across the Far West Province, as well as homestay workers, tourism experts, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.

The workshop features presentations on tourism promotion and internal good governance by tourism expert Dr. Alakababu Prasai and indigenous agriculture and homestay activist Tilak Bahadur Dhakal.

During the event, the best-performing homestays aligned with the state's tourism policy will be recognized. The top three homestays will receive cash prizes of Rs 100,000, Rs 75,000, and Rs 50,000 respectively, along with certificates of recognition.
