Prachanda's morning walk marks launch of Maoist center’s awareness campaign in Far West

Dhangadhi: The Tarai-Madhesh Awareness Campaign launched by the CPN (Maoist Center) from Jhapa is nearing its conclusion as it reaches Kanchanpur.

On Monday evening, the campaign team, focusing on the Postal Highway, arrived in Kailali. Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and a team of central office bearers initiated the awareness activities in Kailali and Kanchanpur with a morning walk from Suryapur to Satti Bazaar.

According to the Maoist Center, a series of programs are scheduled, beginning with a martyr family meeting at 8 a.m. in Tikapur-8, Suryapur, followed by a public meeting in Jhunga, Ward No. 9, from 9 to 10 a.m. Another martyr family meeting will be held in Baispur, Kailari Rural Municipality-5, at 11 a.m., followed by a public meeting at 12:30 p.m. A martyr family gathering is set for Depot Bazaar in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City until 2:30 p.m., and an interaction program will be conducted at Om Party Palace, Dhangadhi at 3:30 p.m.

Later in the day, the campaign team will head to Kanchanpur via the Postal Highway, with a send-off scheduled at Dhangadhi Customs at 5:30 p.m. Preparations are underway for a reception at Doke Bazaar in Punarbas Municipality-11, inspection of a monastery, a visit to the Punarbas Municipality Office, and settling at Ward No. 2, Motibasti.

The next morning, a morning walk is planned in Punarbas Municipality-2, Motibasti. From 7 to 8 a.m., a martyr family meeting will be held at Shahid Smriti Sabha Hall in Motibasti. From 9:30 to 10 a.m., the inauguration of the Ramnagar drinking water supply in Belauri Municipality-5 will take place, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the martyr's statue and observation of Sobha Lake. A reception and interaction program at the Assembly Hall of Belauri Municipality will be held from 10:15 to 11 a.m.

On Baisakh 17, the campaign will continue with a meeting at Chauvanni Bazaar in Beldandi Rural Municipality from 1 to 1:30 p.m., a visit to the west entrance of Bedkot Samadaiji Postal Road from 2 to 2:30 p.m., and a meeting with martyrs’ families. The campaign will conclude at Smarak Chowk, Bhimdatta Municipality-4, with a final program from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Following the conclusion, Chairman Prachanda will return to Kathmandu. Central leaders including Narayanaji Shrestha, Agni Sapkota, Nandakishore Pun, Pampha Bhusal, Girirajmani Pokharel, and others are participating in the campaign.
