Kailali to host provincial-level homestay festival in Bhada village

Dhangadhi: A provincial-level homestay festival is set to take place at Bhada, a homestay village in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-16, Kailali.
The event is being organized by the Tharu Homestay Village Bhada Tourism Development and Management Committee with financial backing from the Sudurpaschim Provincial Government. According to information shared during a press conference in Dhangadhi, the festival will run from Baisakh 18 to 20.
Committee Chairman Laxminarayan Chaudhary shared that the festival will feature an exhibition of traditional dishes from the Far West, a showcase of Tharu handicrafts, and cultural performances representing various castes. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy a safari tour of Shuklaphanta National Park as part of the homestay experience.

The provincial Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment will provide Rs. 15 lakhs in financial support for the event. Dinesh Dahit, Chairman of the Homestay Federation Sudurpaschim, stated that the festival will contribute to the promotion of homestays across the province, with homestay operators from all districts expected to participate. The organizers anticipate around one lakh visitors will attend the festival.
