Chandrodaya secures thrilling one-wicket victory in Dhangadhi grassroot cicket friendship series

Dhangadhi: Chandrodaya Secondary School, Phulbari, clinched a dramatic one-wicket win in the second men's match of the 'Grassroot Cricket Friendship Series' held on Thursday as part of the Grassroot Cricket Development Program, conducted in collaboration with Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City and Go Dreamers.

In the closely contested match played at Siddhanath Secondary School ground, Jugeda, Chandrodaya defeated the host team, Jugeda, by a narrow margin. After winning the toss, Jugeda set a target of 79 runs. Chandrodaya successfully chased down the target with just two balls remaining, securing a thrilling victory.

Kshitij Thapa of Chandrodaya, who scored a quick 27 runs off 18 balls, was named Player of the Match for his impactful performance.

Following the match, Chandrodaya’s coach Dev Narayan Jha remarked, “This series is not just a game, but also a journey of friendship, skill, and confidence. We encourage parents to send their cricket-enthusiastic children to the Jugeda and Phulbari Centers, where free cricket training is being provided.”
