New basic health service center inaugurated in Garba, Kailali

Dhangadhi: A newly constructed Basic Health Service Center building has been inaugurated and handed over in Garba, Chure Rural Municipality-4, Kailali.

The building was jointly inaugurated by Chure Rural Municipality Chairman Chakra Bahadur Bogati and Vice Chairperson Dhanadevi Thapa. Construction of the health center began on 18th Shrawan 2081 and was officially handed over on 10th Baisakh 2082. The rural municipality has now begun providing healthcare services from the facility, which was built at a cost of Rs. 1,11,18,981.

With the establishment of the new center, access to quality health services in the Garba area is expected to improve significantly. The inauguration ceremony saw the participation of Pradipraj Pant, Program Coordinator of Amda Minds; Sher Bahadur Basnet, Executive Director of Faya Nepal; and Gajendra Bista, Head of the Chure Rural Municipality Health Branch.

The project was completed under the financial assistance of the Government of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with leadership from Amda Minds and management by Faya Nepal. It falls under the Maternal and Child Health Behavior Promotion Program, implemented by Faya Nepal in coordination with Chure Rural Municipality.
