Two theft case fugitives arrested in Kanchanpur after 16 years

Kanchanpur: Two individuals accused in a theft case have been arrested in Kanchanpur after evading authorities for 16 years.

Hemraj Joshi, 35, and Shankar Bista, 36, residents of Bhimdatta Municipality-2, were arrested on Wednesday by a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Kanchanpur. The duo had been absconding since the District Court Kanchanpur issued a verdict on 10 Jestha 2066 BS, imposing a fine of Rs. 500 each in connection with a theft case.

Both individuals were taken into custody from their homes and presented before the court for further legal proceedings.
