Three arrested with narcotics in separate operations in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Three individuals, including a minor, have been arrested with illegal drugs in separate incidents in Kailali, according to local authorities.

Police from Kailaligaun Police Station arrested 30-year-old Nishant Gharti Magar of Ningalasaini Tole, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-13, with 100 milligrams of brown heroin from Rajpur, also within the same sub-metropolitan area, on Monday.

In a separate operation, a joint team from the Crime Investigation Group of the District Police Office, the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office in Dhangadhi, and the Police Post Trinagar arrested two individuals near the customs checkpoint in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-2

The arrests were made during a routine check of a motorcycle bearing registration number Ba 64 Pa 9342. Police discovered 7 grams and 720 milligrams of narcotics hidden in the pocket of a minor who was riding pillion. The motorcycle’s driver, 18-year-old Bhupendra Rana of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-13, and the minor have both been taken into custody for further investigation.
