NAST College Marks 25th Anniversary and Parents' Day with Grand Celebration
Dhangadhi: The National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) celebrated its 25th Annual Celebration and Parents' Day with various programs held on Friday in a grand ceremony.
The event was chaired by Academy President Dr. Chetraj Pant and graced by Sudurpaschim Province Chief Nazir Mian as the chief guest. Minister of State for Finance Prakash Bam, members of the College Management Committee, students, and parents were also present.
Speaking at the event, Province Chief Nazir Mian highlighted the significant potential of the education sector in Sudurpaschim Province. Reflecting on NAST’s 25-year contribution to science and technology, he emphasized the need for the skilled human resources produced by the academy to focus on the nation’s growth and development. He also urged an emphasis on technology and quality education. Minister of State for Finance Prakash Bam praised the role of NAST graduates in nation-building.
Guests, including the provincial chief, were welcomed with musical performances. The celebration featured cultural dance performances by students, awards for competition winners and runners-up, and the honoring of various individuals.
As part of the occasion, students from NAST’s Red Cross Circle donated food worth Rs 50,000 to the Nepal Disabled Association Khagendra Navajivan Center. The donation was made on Thursday using funds collected from their own lunch expenses. Academy President Dr. Chetraj Pant also contributed food aid to the center.
Currently home to 10 individuals with disabilities, the Navajivan Center received food supplies sufficient for about a month. Dr. Pant remarked that the students’ selfless act of service was more valuable than any material contribution, applauding their humanitarian spirit.
