High court Dipayal halts immediate adjustment of teacher posts in Lamkichuha

Dhangadhi: The High Court Dipayal has issued a short-term interim order restraining the implementation of a municipal decision to adjust and transfer teacher posts in Lamkichuha Municipality of Kailali.

On Chaitra 17, 2081, the municipal executive had decided to adjust and transfer various teacher posts. However, a group of teachers, including Siddharaj Joshi, filed a writ petition challenging the legality of the move.

In response, a single bench of Chief Justice Shantisingh Thapa ordered a temporary halt to the implementation of the decision, maintaining the current status quo until further notice.

The court has scheduled a hearing for Baisakh 12, summoning both parties for a discussion regarding the interim order. Additionally, the municipality has been directed to present the original documents related to the executive decision on teacher adjustments and transfers during the hearing.
