NSU claims victory in Darchula Multiple Campus, ANFSWU wins in gokuleshwor

Dhangadhi: Prakash Badu of the Nepal Students Union (NSU) has been elected President of Darchula Multiple Campus in Khalanga, the headquarters of Darchula, while Sunil Danga of the All Nepal Free Students Union (ANFSWU) has secured the presidency at Gokuleshwor Multiple Campus.
Badu of NSU won the election at Darchula Multiple Campus with 222 votes, defeating his closest competitor, Khadak Singh Thagunna of ANFSWU, by a margin of 31 votes. Thagunna secured 191 votes, while independent candidate Anil Chandra Joshi garnered 20 votes. Badu secured his victory with the support of a panel formed through an alliance between NSU and Akhil Krantikari.

Meanwhile, at Gokuleshwor Multiple Campus, Sunil Danga of ANFSWU won the presidential race with 105 votes. His opponent, Naresh Bista of NSU, who contested as the common candidate of the NSU and Akhil Krantikari alliance, received 102 votes, resulting in a narrow three-vote defeat for the Nepali Congress-affiliated union.


Darchula Multiple Campus had a total of 485 registered voters, while Gokuleshwor Multiple Campus had 264 registered voters.
