Woman's leg amputated after thresher accident in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A woman has had her leg amputated following an accident involving a thresher in Kailali.

According to police, 35-year-old Kala Thapa, a resident of Gauriganga Municipality-9, suffered severe injuries after her right leg was caught in a thresher while threshing wheat. Police Inspector Darshan Khadka of the District Police Office, Kailali, confirmed that Thapa’s leg had to be amputated from the ankle.

She is currently undergoing treatment at a nursing home in Nepalgunj.
