Class 8 results published in Dasharathchand, Baitadi: 58.60% pass rate

Dhangadhi: The Class 8 basic level examination results for Dasharathchand Municipality, Baitadi, have been published, with 58.60% of students passing, according to the municipality.

A total of 751 students from 34 schools across the municipality appeared for the examination, out of which 400 students successfully passed.

Notably, four schools achieved a 100% pass rate: M.J.C. Academy, NBA Academy, Green Haven Public School, and Saraswati Residential School. In these institutions, all 16 students from M.J.C. Academy, 23 students from NBA Academy, and 4 students each from Green Haven Public School and Saraswati Residential School cleared the exam.

Additionally, Kulaun Secondary School, Khatedi, recorded a 94.29% pass rate, with 33 out of 35 students passing, while Ningalasaini Secondary School, Dehimandau, achieved a 91.30% pass rate, with 21 out of 23 students passing.

However, three schools reported pass rates below 20%:
- Kedar Secondary School, Dodarchour: 18.18% pass rate (4 out of 22 students passed).
- Jagannath Secondary School, Hallek: 12.50% pass rate (1 out of 9 students passed).
- Janachetana Secondary School, Chaisigaun: 11.11% pass rate (1 out of 8 students passed).

According to Harish Prasad Bhatta, Head of the Education Department of the municipality, 351 students failed the exam. However, 187 students who received a non-grade in a maximum of two subjects will be eligible for an upgrading exam. These students must fill out the exam form by mid-Chaitra, and the upgrading exam is scheduled for Baisakh 15 and 16.

The Class 8 examination was conducted from Falgun 26 to Chaitra 5, as per the municipality's academic calendar.
