Winter session of federal parliament concludes

Kathmandu: The winter session of the federal parliament has officially concluded.

President Ram Chandra Poudel, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, ended the current session of both houses of the federal parliament after midnight on Chaitra 19, as per Article 93, Clause (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

The decision was made following a Council of Ministers meeting held on Monday night, which resolved to recommend the session’s closure to the President.

During the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire read out the official press release from the President’s Office, formally announcing the conclusion of the winter session. Additionally, he informed the House about lawmakers who had been continuously absent from the session.
