Dil Bahadur Chhatyal appointed in-charge of press chautari Sudurpaschim

Dhangadhi: Veteran journalist Dil Bahadur Chhatyal has been unanimously elected as the in-charge of Press Chautari Nepal Sudurpaschim Province.

Chhatyal was elected at the 10th General Convention of Press Chautari Nepal, held in Biratnagar on Chaitra 11. With over two decades of experience in journalism, he previously served as a central member of Press Chautari. His leadership is expected to further strengthen the organization's presence in the province.

Having been associated with Press Chautari since 2056 BS, Chhatyal was elected as a member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) from Sudurpaschim in 2068 BS with a ticket from Chautari. He also served two terms as a central member of the organization. In 2064 BS, he was elected as the President of the FNJ Doti Branch and currently holds the position of President of the Nepal-India Journalists' Association.

Chhatyal began his journalism career with Kalapani Sandesh Weekly and later became the Executive Editor of Naya Muluk Daily. From 2059 BS to 2065 BS, he was associated with Kantipur in Doti and worked as the Midwest Bureau Chief for Dainik.com for six months. Since its inception, he has been a correspondent for Nagarik Daily and currently serves as its Sudurpaschim Bureau Chief.
