Teenage girl and six youths arrested with drugs in Kailali on the same day

Dhangadhi: Police in Kailali have arrested a teenage girl and six youths from different locations on the same day for possession of illegal drugs.

Paras Tharu (23) of Himalipur, Rajapur Municipality-1, Bardiya, was apprehended with 1.26 grams of brown heroin from the Khakraula road section of Tikapur Municipality-9. A team from the Area Police Office, Tikapur, took him into custody.

In a separate incident, Suresh Rana (27) of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-7 and Balbudh Rana (26) of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-15 were arrested in Kanari, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-15, while riding a motorcycle (Sudurpaschim Province 01-010 Pa 9009). A search conducted by the Kanari Police Post led to the seizure of 110 milligrams of brown heroin from their possession.

Meanwhile, acting on confidential information, Purna Deep Sharma Upadhyay (37) and Narayan Karki (32) of Lamki Bazaar, Lamkichuha Municipality-1, were arrested by the Area Police Office, Lamki. They were found in possession of 330 milligrams of brown heroin, 10 Tramadol tablets, and one Nitravet tablet.

Additionally, Chanchal Kumar Rana (25) of Bhagat Chowk, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-8, and 19-year-old Kajal Parki of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-1, were caught with 60 milligrams of brown heroin by a team from the District Police Office, Kailali.

Authorities have confirmed that further investigations are underway regarding all seven individuals arrested from various locations.
