Dogadakedar-1 declared fully institutionalized maternity ward

Baitadi: Ward No. 1 of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality in Baitadi has been officially declared a fully institutionalized maternity ward after fulfilling all required health indicators.

The declaration was made during a program held on Friday, confirmed Narendra Nath, Head of the Health Branch of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality. With this, seven out of eight wards in the municipality have now achieved this status. Ward No. 2 is the only remaining ward, which is also expected to be declared a fully institutionalized maternity ward within this month.

According to Nath, the ward met all necessary criteria, including pregnancy check-ups as per government protocols, institutional deliveries, iron supplementation for pregnant and postpartum mothers, Td vaccination for expectant mothers, three ultrasound screenings, and postnatal health check-ups.
