Customs evasion goods seized from Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Authorities have seized customs-evading goods smuggled from India into Kailali and Kanchanpur.

In Kailali, illegally imported goods worth an estimated Rs 298,250 were confiscated from the roads leading to Milan Chowk. Similarly, in Kanchanpur, goods valued at Rs 74,850 were seized from Chargharuwa in Belauri Municipality-2 and Punarbas Municipality-11, near the Model Brick Kiln.

The seized items, which were brought in by evading customs duties, include bidis, tobacco, chocolates, batteries, beverages, boilers, and chickens. A police patrol team deployed from the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, intercepted and took the goods under control.
