One dead, one injured in motorcycle accident in Achham

Achham: A motorcycle accident in Achham has left one person dead and another injured, police confirmed.

The accident occurred near Khadhya Bend in Mangalsain Municipality-5, along the Mid-Pahadi Highway, when a motorcycle (Se 7 Pa 1469) traveling from Thulasen to Mangalsain lost control and plunged 35 meters off the road.

Jiwan Thapa (20) of Kunti, Mangalsain Municipality-1, who was driving the motorcycle, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the District Hospital Mangalsain for treatment but succumbed to his injuries, according to the District Police Office, Achham.

Meanwhile, Chetan Thapa (17) of the same area, who was riding as a passenger, sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Nyaya Health Hospital in Bayalpata, police added.
