Five arrested with heroin in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Authorities in Kailali have arrested five individuals in separate incidents for possession of heroin, police confirmed.

Arun Srivastava (24) and Sanjay Bista (22) of Narayanpur, Tikapur Municipality-7, were apprehended at a check post in Khakraula, Tikapur Municipality-9. A search of Srivastava’s scooty (Se 6 Pa 6591) led to the discovery of 1 gram 790 milligrams of heroin, resulting in the arrest of both individuals along with the vehicle, according to the Area Police Office, Tikapur.

Similarly, acting on special intelligence, a joint police team from the Area Police Office, Malakheti, and the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Dhangadhi, raided the residence of Sunil Bam (25) and Prakash Bhul (21) in Syaule School Tol, Godavari Municipality-8, Kailali, seizing 2 grams 280 milligrams of heroin.

In another operation, a temporary police post in Shantinagar arrested Birendra Chaudhary (26) of Basanta Tole, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-1, with 50 milligrams of heroin.

All suspects have been taken into custody for further investigation.
