Fugitive defendant arrested in Baitadi

Baitadi: A fugitive defendant has been arrested in Baitadi.

Birendra Rawal (22), a resident of Dhura, Dasharathchand Municipality-4, who had been on the run after being sentenced by the Baitadi District Court to 2 months and 24 days in prison along with a fine of Rs 5,000 in a drug (brown heroin) case, was apprehended on Monday.

A police team deployed from the Baitadi District Police Office arrested Rawal from Gothalapani, authorities confirmed.
