Customs evasion goods worth Rs 1.95 lakh, including 16 motorcycles, seized in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Authorities have seized customs evasion goods worth Rs 1.95 lakh, including 16 motorcycles, in Kanchanpur.
A police team from multiple units was involved in the operation. The Area Police Office Beldadi confiscated goods worth Rs 1.04 lakh, while the Area Police Office Gaddachauki seized Rs 8.55 lakh and Rs 2.55 lakh in separate operations. Additionally, the Area Police Office Phataiya seized Rs 2.2 lakh, and the Area Police Station Majhagaun seized Rs 25 lakh, bringing the total confiscation to Rs 1.95 lakh, 52 thousand. The Astai Police Station Majhagaun also contributed with a Rs 25,000 seizure on Sunday.
Among the confiscated items were 16 motorcycles lacking proper customs documentation, along with mobile phone displays, glass, chargers, various mobile parts, saris, cloth pieces, kurkure snacks, and glasses.

The seized goods have been handed over to the customs office for further investigation and action, according to Kanchanpur police.
