Nepal students union secures landslide victory in Aishwarya Multiple Campus ISU elections

Dhangadhi: The Nepal Students Union (NSU) has achieved a sweeping victory in the Independent Students Union (ISU) elections at Aishwarya Multiple Campus, Dhangadhi.
Deepak Raj Bhatta of the Nepal Students Union, affiliated with the Nepali Congress, secured the presidential post, leading his panel to a clean sweep in the elections held on Tuesday. Bhatta defeated Dipendra Bhatta (Dipin) of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), aligned with CPN-UML. Deepak received 533 votes, while his closest rival, Dipendra, secured 425 votes. Bikash Bista of the Revolutionary Students Union, affiliated with the Maoist Center, received 402 votes.
In addition to the presidency, Debendra Bohara (David) of NSU won the secretary position, while Sanjita Kumari Chaudhary was elected as treasurer.

This victory marks a significant shift in student politics at Aishwarya Multiple Campus, as ANNFSU—which previously held dominance, including the ISU presidency—has now been unseated. The NSU leadership has described the election outcome as historic, breaking the longstanding legacy of the National Non-Profit Universities and establishing a new student leadership era.
