Customs-evading goods, including abir and crackers, seized in Tikapur and Kailari
Dhangadhi: Authorities have seized customs-evading goods, including abir and crackers, from Tikapur and Kailari in Kailali district.
A police patrol team from the District Police Office, Kailali, confiscated goods worth an estimated Rs 249,700 that had been illegally imported from India without customs clearance. The seized items include jeans kurtis, ladies kurtis, gamchha, dhoti, dupatta, blouse, white cloth, water-pulling motors, abir, crackers, Sidra fish, and other goods.
The contraband was taken under control from Tikapur Municipality-9 Baluwatar, Kailari Rural Municipality-4 K Gaun, and Kailari Rural Municipality-5 Bandargaudi, as part of the authorities' ongoing efforts to curb customs evasion.
