Home Minister begins disbursing grants to earthquake victims in Dadeldhura

Dadeldhura: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has launched a campaign to distribute grants to earthquake-affected beneficiaries.

On Thursday, after arriving at the District Administration Office, Dadeldhura, Minister Lekhak initiated the campaign by handing over the first installment of Rs 50,000 to earthquake victim Prakash Raj Upreti of Amargadhi Municipality-3.

Speaking at the event, Minister Lekhak emphasized the need to complete the permanent resettlement of Doti earthquake victims by mid-Ashar. Acknowledging the delays in reconstruction and reinforcement even after one and a half years, he assured that the reconstruction process will be expedited through the formulation of standards, budget management, and work procedures over the past seven months.

Additionally, he announced that the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project Implementation Unit will be inaugurated in Bajhang on Friday, Achham on Saturday, and Jajarkot on Sunday.
