Tikapur Literature Festival 2081 to begin from 24 falgun

Dhangadhi: The second edition of the Tikapur Literature Festival is set to take place from 24 to 26 Falgun, with a special focus on Nepal’s first playwright, Pahalman Singh Swar, the Tikapur Sahitya Samaj announced in a press release.

The festival will feature 21 debate sessions, where renowned short story writers including Narayan Dhakal, Keshav Dahal, Buddhisagar, Saraswati Pratiksha, Pragati Rai, Saguna Shah, Ranjana Niraula, Suman Barsha Ghimire, and Prabha Baral will engage in discussions on various aspects of Nepali short stories. Additionally, non-fiction writers such as Bindu Subedi, Yubaraj Nayaghre, Prateek Dhakal, Mohan Mainali, and Ghanshyam Khadka will analyze Nepali literature and the philosophy of life.

The event will also feature literary critics including Laxman Prasad Gautam, Gyanu Adhikari, Dr. Brataraj Acharya, former Vice-Chancellor of Sudurpaschim University Ammar Raj Joshi, and Dhananjay Timilsina, who will present their critical perspectives on Nepali literature.

The Ministry of Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province is the main promoter of the festival, while Sudurpaschim Pragya Pratishthan serves as the co-promoter. Tikapur Municipality and Janaki Rural Municipality have also extended their support as co-promoters.

The event is sponsored and supported by various national organizations, including Nepal Tourism Board, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, and Hotel Siddhartha, among others, as mentioned in the press release.
