Customs evasion goods worth over Rs 2.7 lakh seized in Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Authorities have seized customs evasion goods worth an estimated Rs 276,500 from various locations in Kailali and Kanchanpur.

In Kailali, goods worth Rs 176,500, illegally imported from India, were confiscated from Milanchowk, D.K. Petrol Pump, and Godavari Municipality-4, Godavari. A police patrol team deployed from the District Police Office, Kailali, seized suits, sarees, tobacco, plastic film, and unmarked JCB parts.

Similarly, in Kanchanpur, goods valued at Rs 100,000 were seized from Punarbas Municipality-9, Motiaghat. A joint police patrol team from the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office, Dhangadhi, and the Area Police Office, Tribhuvanbasti, Kanchanpur, confiscated sugar, coconut, tobacco, Kurkure, and a motorcycle in a state of disrepair.
