Gynecologist and obstetrician joins Baitadi District Hospital

Baitadi: After a prolonged gap, a gynecologist and obstetrician has arrived at Baitadi District Hospital, enhancing healthcare services for women in the region.

Dr. Ram Kumar Yadav, a gynecologist and obstetrician, has joined the hospital, confirmed Chief Doctor Sushil BK. Additionally, Dr. Nischal Gyawali has been appointed as a medical officer. Both doctors were formally welcomed during a program held at the hospital on Tuesday.

Dr. BK emphasized that the arrival of a gynecologist will significantly improve healthcare access for women. Dr. Yadav was assigned to the district hospital by the Sudurpaschim Province government through the consultation service, while Dr. Gyawali has joined on a scholarship contract, according to Hospital Management Committee Chairperson Parbati Bhatta.

Currently, nine doctors are working at Baitadi District Hospital, including two specialists, a dentist, and six medical officers. Dr. BK stated that services previously disrupted due to the absence of a gynecologist have now resumed.
