Man found dead in hotel in Baitadi

Darchula: A 55-year-old man was found dead in a hotel in Melauli Municipality-7, Baitadi, on Tuesday morning.

According to Baldev Badu, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi, the deceased has been identified as Tej Singh of Melauli-1. Singh, who had been residing in Kathmandu, had recently traveled to Melauli to perform puja after visiting the Kumbh Mela in India.

He had dined at the hotel on Monday night and was discovered lifeless in his room the following morning. Police Inspector Badu stated that an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of death.
