Keshav Raj Joshi elected president of Press Center Nepal Sudurpaschim province
Dhangadhi: Journalist Keshav Raj Joshi has been elected as the president of Press Center Nepal, Sudurpaschim Province.
Joshi was elected unopposed during the third provincial convention held in Alital, Dadeldhura.
Unanimous Election of the Provincial Committee
Outgoing president Bhuvan Bohara announced that a 27-member provincial committee was unanimously elected under Joshi’s leadership. Key office bearers include:
Karn Chand – Open Vice-President
Janaki Dhami – Women's Vice-President
Mukesh Terra – Inclusive Vice-President
Tejraj Bhatta – General Secretary
Subash Kathayat, Lalit Bohara, Hom Saud, Phalida Rana, Padam Sunar – Secretaries
Deepak Raj Awasthi – Treasurer
Additionally, the working committee members elected from the closed session of the convention are Pushkar Raj Bhatta, Mahendra Bam, Indra Saud, Padam Bohara, Padam Saud, Bimal Dhami, and Hom Yogi.
Honoring War Journalists & Inaugural Ceremony
During the inaugural session, 30 journalists from the Far West who have contributed to ‘war journalism’ were honored.
The convention, which commenced on Monday under the chairmanship of Bhuvan Bohara, was inaugurated by Girirajmani Pokharel, Central Deputy General Secretary of the CPN (Maoist Center) and Far West Province In-charge.
